Great Smoky Mountain Chapter

COVID-19 Relief

The Great Smoky Mountain Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals along with AFP Global understands the economic challenges that current and prospective members face. In response to the current conditions, the Great Smoky Mountain Chapter and AFP Global are pleased to announce a new membership scholarship program. The goal of this program is to recruit new members and retain existing members who are unable to afford annual membership dues, due to financial challenges caused by the COVID-19 health pandemic.

We are excited to offer up to 5 scholarships to nonprofit development professionals in East Tennessee.

Each scholarship will cover one year of both Global and Chapter member dues, a $280.00 value.

Successful applicants must:

  1. Be employed by a not-for-profit organization in the East Tennessee Region

  2. Have primary fundraising responsibilities for your organization

  3. Complete Membership Scholarship Application {CLICK HERE}

  4. Be an active AFP member by attending chapter meetings

  5. Agree to serve on at least one sub-committee: Membership, National Philanthropy Day or Communications

  6. Provide a letter of endorsement of your membership from either your Executive Director or Board President.

Scholarship winners will be chosen by the Great Smoky Mountain Board of Directors. In order to finalize each scholarship, winners agree to submit a completed AFP membership form to AFP Global.
